Key responsibilities
As an Audit Manager, you have the opportunity to foster strong client relationships and play an important role in our Audit and Accounting practice. Your responsibilities will include:
- Plan and execute engagements, while ensuring timely completion and compliance with Client Accounting Services (CAS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Accounting Standards for Not‑for‑Profit Organizations (ASNPO), Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS) and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
- Deliver assurance and advisory services that inspire client satisfaction.
- Expand our local and national client base through proactive promotion, networking and relationship‑building in the Yukon and across Canada.
- Deliver services to diverse industries that align with the firm’s expertise.
- Use audit software and client accounting systems to streamline processes and ensure accuracy and system integration.
- Provide consulting and tax advice to firm partners, team members and technology partners to help deliver integrated solutions.
- Supervise and mentor staff and students.
- Contribute to the firm’s growth strategy, including participation in our exciting rebrand, and leverage partnerships to enhance service offerings.
Key requirements
We are seeking a dedicated professional with the following qualifications:
- Must have achieved a CPA designation and successfully passed the Common Final Examination (CFE).
- A minimum of 7 years of public accounting and audit experience. (We will also consider candidates with equivalent experience gained through alternative career paths.)
- Must hold a Public Accounting Licence or meet the experience requirements to obtain one.
- A proven ability to set and meet deadlines and oversee a team, while demonstrating a professional approach to career goals.
- A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
- Comfort working with diverse client accounting systems and industries.
- A willingness to mentor and lead a team of staff and students.
